• Build a Perl toolkit for iCalendar/RFC2445 compliant calendaring
• Use the toolkit to build one or more example implementations of calendar servers and clients

Community consultation/discussion

We hope to talk with as many people as possible about this project and determine what's needed, what's already underway, and how we can cooperate with existing projects.

The following f2f meeting dates have been suggested so far:

• January 2001, at linux.conf.au in Sydney, Australia (DONE)
• March(ish) 2001 in Boston (DONE, sort of; Skud and srl spoke at a Boston.pm meeting in May.)
• July 2001 at the O'Reilly Open Source Conference in California (DONE; Skud and Simon Cozens spoke on July 26.)
• July 2001 at YAPC::Europe (DONE: Skud spoke there.)
• October/November 2001, Boston (TENTATIVE)

The rough plan is to hold "mini summits" for a smallish group of involved people to discuss what they're doing and swap notes. We've talked about October-ish in Boston, but nothing firm has been established.
